Pre-kindergarten
Age: 4 - 5 years old
Pre-Kindergarten students are at an age when they are on a quest for knowledge. Our Pre-K program provides varying opportunities to satisfy each student’s appetite for knowledge. The Pre-K curriculum focuses greatly on Language Arts and Literacy to build a strong foundation for reading.
Also, various hands on activities are provided to promote exploration through STEM education. In addition, the Pre-K students utilize iStartSmart mobile tablets that monitor each child’s progress as they play research-based early learning games, and teachers will utilize an interactive white board to present many classroom lessons.
The Pre-K classroom offers a balance between fun, creative, hands-on activities, and more formal academics to prepare children for future experiences in education. Our Pre-K program ensures that children will graduate from The Heights School with a strong Foundation of Learning for the Outside World.
